A partnership with fuel supplier Gulfstream Energy has produced another SA Cross Country Series (SACCS) success story.
Gulfstream Energy, an independent fuel wholesaler, has joined SACCS and championship series partners Eurol Lubricants, Ford Motor Company of South Africa, Toyota South Africa and qualifying race sponsor Pirelli as the fuel supplier to the national Cross Country Championship.
Founded in 2009, Gulfstream Energy is one of the largest independent fuel wholesalers in South Africa and offers customers quality and innovative petroleum solutions in various market sectors including, but not limited to, commercial transport, retail service stations, mining and agriculture. With access to a network of fuel supply points nationally, Gulfstream is able to ensure a fast, flexible and reliable service. The vastly experienced management team and dedicated staff have built an enviable reputation for the company in the petroleum sector.

The convenience of having fuel readily available has eliminated the need to transport fuel to and from events and has proved a major boost to competitors.”
“The agreement is another step forward in our proactive attitude towards the SACCS Championship, and we will continue to look at ways and means of progressing cross country racing,” Rutherford added.
The next event on the SACCS calendar, the Sugarbelt 400 on May 21 and 22, this year returns to the Eston/Mid Illovo area on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg.
Restrictions due to COVID-19 protocols still prohibit spectators from attending events.
Enthusiasts and spectators can follow the Sugarbelt 400 action on the RallySafe App which can be downloaded free of charge for Android and iOS devices. The standings during the event as well as relevant race information will be available on the App.
